Welcome to Lega. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website legauae.com and the wedding planning, catering, and vendor coordination services we provide in Dubai and the United Arab Emirates.

By accessing our website, requesting a consultation, booking our services, or engaging with us in any capacity, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our services.

1. Definitions

  • "Lega," "we," "us," or "our" refers to Lega, the wedding planning and catering service provider
  • "Client," "you," or "your" refers to the individual or entity using our services
  • "Services" refers to wedding planning, catering, vendor coordination, and all related services provided by Lega
  • "Event" refers to the wedding, celebration, or function for which our services are engaged
  • "Agreement" refers to the binding contract formed when you accept our proposal and pay the required deposit

2. Services Provided

Lega provides comprehensive wedding planning and catering services, including but not limited to:

  • Full-service wedding planning and coordination
  • Custom menu design and catering services
  • Vendor sourcing, vetting, and management
  • Event logistics and timeline management
  • On-site event coordination and supervision
  • Consultation and design services
  • Budget planning and expense tracking

Specific services and deliverables will be outlined in the individual service proposal and contract provided to each client.

3. Booking and Payment Terms

3.1 Booking Process

To book our services, you must:

  • Complete an initial consultation
  • Review and accept our detailed proposal
  • Sign the service agreement
  • Pay the required deposit

Your event date is not secured until the signed agreement and deposit are received.

3.2 Deposits and Payments

  • A non-refundable first payment (as specified in your contract) is required to secure your event date
  • Payment details will be outlined in your service agreement
  • Remaining balance is typically due before the event date
  • Late payments may result in suspension or cancellation of services
  • We accept payment via bank transfer, credit card, or other methods as specified
  • All prices are quoted in UAE Dirhams (AED) unless otherwise stated

3.3 Pricing and Additional Costs

  • All prices are subject to applicable VAT and government fees
  • Quoted prices are valid for 30 days from the proposal date
  • Changes to services, guest count, or menu may result in price adjustments
  • Additional costs incurred due to client requests or changes will be billed separately
  • Travel expenses for events outside Dubai may apply

4. Client Responsibilities

As our client, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information about your event requirements
  • Respond promptly to requests for information and decisions
  • Secure necessary permits, licenses, and venue approvals
  • Provide access to event venues for setup and coordination
  • Inform us of dietary restrictions, allergies, and special requirements
  • Provide a final guest count at least 7-14 days before the event
  • Make timely payments according to the agreed schedule
  • Review and approve menus, designs, and plans in a timely manner
  • Designate a point of contact for event-day communication

5. Cancellation and Refund Policy

5.1 Client Cancellation

If you cancel your booking, the following terms apply:

  • More than 180 days before the event: Deposit is non-refundable; no additional charges apply
  • 90-180 days before the event: 50% of the total contract value is due
  • 30-90 days before the event: 75% of the total contract value is due
  • Less than 30 days before the event: 100% of the total contract value is due

5.2 Lega Cancellation

Lega reserves the right to cancel or terminate services if:

  • Payments are not received according to the agreed schedule
  • Client provides false or misleading information
  • Client behavior is abusive, threatening, or violates our policies
  • Circumstances beyond our control (force majeure) prevent service delivery

In the event of Lega-initiated cancellation (except for client breach), paid amounts will be refunded minus actual expenses incurred.

5.3 Event Postponement

If you need to postpone your event:

  • Notify us in writing as soon as possible
  • We will work with you to reschedule, subject to availability
  • Payments already made will be applied to the new date
  • Price adjustments may apply if postponement exceeds 12 months
  • If no suitable alternative date is found, standard cancellation terms apply

6. Changes and Modifications

  • All change requests must be submitted in writing
  • Changes requested more than 60 days before the event are typically accommodated without additional fees (subject to availability)
  • Changes requested 30-60 days before may incur modification fees
  • Changes requested less than 30 days before may be declined or incur significant fees
  • Changes to guest count must be finalized 7-14 days before the event
  • You will be charged for the confirmed guest count or actual attendance, whichever is higher

7. Liability and Indemnification

7.1 Limitation of Liability

  • Lega's total liability under this agreement is limited to the total amount paid by the client
  • We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages
  • We maintain appropriate insurance coverage for our operations
  • We are not responsible for acts or omissions of third-party vendors (though we carefully vet all partners)

7.2 Force Majeure

Lega is not liable for failure to perform services due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including:

  • Natural disasters, extreme weather, or acts of God
  • War, terrorism, civil unrest, or government actions
  • Pandemics, epidemics, or public health emergencies
  • Strikes, labor disputes, or supply chain disruptions
  • Venue closures or cancellations beyond our control

7.3 Client Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Lega harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Your breach of these Terms or the service agreement
  • Negligent or unlawful acts by you or your guests
  • Failure to obtain necessary permits or approvals
  • Damage to venues or property caused by you or your guests

8. Intellectual Property

  • All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is owned by Lega and protected by copyright
  • Event designs, menus, and planning documents created by Lega remain our intellectual property
  • You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our materials without written permission
  • We may photograph and document your event for marketing purposes unless you opt out in writing
  • If you provide materials (photos, videos, designs), you grant us a license to use them in connection with your event

9. Privacy and Data Protection

Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy. We are committed to protecting your personal information and complying with applicable data protection laws.

10. Warranties and Representations

10.1 Our Commitment

Lega warrants that:

  • We will perform services with professional care and skill
  • We maintain necessary licenses and permits to operate
  • Our team is trained and qualified for the services provided
  • We comply with applicable food safety and health regulations
  • We will make reasonable efforts to meet agreed timelines and specifications

10.2 Disclaimer

Except as expressly stated, services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:

  • All event elements will match your exact vision (we strive for excellence but recognize subjective preferences)
  • Third-party vendors will perform to specific standards (though we vet partners carefully)
  • Events will be free from minor imperfections or unforeseen circumstances

11. Dispute Resolution

11.1 Good Faith Negotiation

If a dispute arises, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve it through good faith negotiation and discussion.

11.2 Mediation

If negotiation fails, parties agree to attempt mediation before pursuing legal action.

11.3 Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any legal disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, UAE.

12. General Provisions

  • Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with your service agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and Lega
  • Amendments: We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on our website with a new effective date
  • Severability: If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect
  • Waiver: Failure to enforce any right does not constitute a waiver of that right
  • Assignment: You may not transfer or assign your rights without our written consent
  • Notices: All formal notices must be sent in writing to the addresses specified in your contract

13. Conduct and Expectations

We are committed to maintaining a respectful, professional environment. Clients and guests are expected to:

  • Treat our team, vendors, and venue staff with respect and courtesy
  • Refrain from abusive, threatening, or discriminatory behavior
  • Comply with venue rules and applicable laws
  • Not engage in behavior that could endanger health, safety, or property
  • Respect our intellectual property and confidential business information

We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate our relationship with clients who violate these expectations.

14. Food Safety and Allergies

  • We maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards in accordance with UAE regulations
  • You must inform us of all dietary restrictions, allergies, and special requirements
  • While we take precautions, we cannot guarantee against cross-contamination in all cases
  • Clients with severe allergies should consult with our team to assess risk and feasibility
  • We are not liable for allergic reactions if accurate information was not provided
  • Menu substitutions for dietary needs are accommodated when possible, subject to availability and timing

15. Acceptance of Terms
